About

Born into a musical family and classically trained, I started out with the violin at age five, but found my real match at the age of 8, when I was drawn to the warmer and deeper sound of the cello.

After completing my cello studies at the renowned Berlin conservatory „Universität der Künste“, I took on a regular symphony orchestra job and enjoyed playing at the Berlin Philharmonic Hall as well as performing in concert halls all over Europe and worldwide.

Apart from my classical music life I have always preferred listening to electronic and ambient music,

(I have been a huge Brian Eno fan!)

After having been involved in a lot of alternative projects like Turkish band Derya, various dance projects, improvising at art openings, touring, studio recording and performing with jazzartists like Natalie Cole, Ray Brown or Til Brönner,  my spiritual journey finally guided me towards my own musical language: With the exploration of meditation and the world of inner realms I found my heart singing with meditative melodies and sacral sounds. Some call it spiritual/meditative, some call it neo-classical...

I then recorded the first solo album with my very own music, „Cello Songs for Silence“, which, over the years has spread my Cello Songs literally all over the world. I feel espacially grateful to my huge persian audience as well as the international music loving spiritual community.

This worldwide reception of my music  gives me a deep sense of meaning and belonging...and perfectly matches with my life purpose to connect people with their inner realms...

My music has also been featured in films like Mo Asumangs Grimme Prize nominated „Roots Germania“ or Oscar winner Asghar Farhadis „About Elly“ (Berlinale Silver Bear). I also contributed music to "Into Sunlight", a dance piece by New York choreographer Robin Becker. Based on the novel of Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and author David Maraniss, this work is about the shifts of perspective in the United States caused by the Vietnam war. The film "Into Sunlight" is in the making. https://vimeo.com/131009698

During my time in Los Angeles I collaborated with Michael Hoppe and am a featured soloist on his Grammy nominated album „Solace“.

Being a member of the Berlin Symphonic Orchestra (Berliner Symphoniker) I have also been performing my own music with my trio Cellotrinity  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gItO-BUJXK0

I think the sound of the cello lends an air of magic to the marriage of earthly states of being with the non-physical cosmos and the human soul. Wether you are meditating, practising yoga, enjoy a day at the spa, just driving your car or simply having a lie-down on the sofa…my Cello Songs are meant to gently carry you away in a state of relaxed awareness - to experience the deeper realms of being with ease and simplicity…
